Year 13 students will now sit for their remaining papers from the 14th of this month.

The Year 13 national examination started on the 1st this month.

Education Minister Premila Kumar says the order of papers will remain the same as it appears in the examination timetable.

She says Year 13 students have already sat for English, Biology, History, Home Economics, Accounting, Geography, and Technical Drawing papers.

Kumar adds when the examination starts on 14th February, Year 13 students will sit for Mathematics on Monday 14th February, Economics and Applied Technology on 15th February, Vosa Vaka Viti, Hindi, Urdu, Rotuman and Physics on 16th February, Agricultural Science and Office technology on 17th February and Chemistry and Computer Studies on 18th February.

She confirms that for Year 12, examination will now commence on 14th February, instead of 7th February and the order of papers will remain as in the original timetable.

Kumar adds the schools not affected by the flood will resume face to face classes for ECE to Year 11 from tomorrow, 7th February 2022 while Years 12 and 13 students will be on study break to prepare for their exams.

She says for the Western Division, all students from ECE to Year 13 are asked to remain at home.

Kumar confirms students from the Western Division will now return to school on 14 February 2022.

She adds teachers in the Western Division who are not affected by flooding should report to the school from tomorrow, 7th February 2022.

9 primary schools are currently used as evacuation centres and 3 schools - Ba Muslim, Ba Special School and Ratu Nemani Primary are flooded.
