The Men's One Day International Series - 2nd ODI between India and South Africa in New Delhi ended with a win for South Africa, who successfully chased down a target of 359, winning the match by four wickets and levelling the three-match series 1–1.

India had a strong day with the bat as Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad scored brilliant centuries; their 195-run partnership for the third wicket set a new record for India against South Africa.

However, South Africa chased the target with confidence and emerged victorious.

This was only the second time India have lost an ODI after scoring more than 350 runs; the last occasion was against Australia in 2019 at Mohali.

The series decider will be played in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, on Sunday at 8pm.
