Letsile Tebogo of Botswana has won the Men’s 200 metres final setting a new African Record with a time of 19.46 seconds.

American Noah Lyles who won the 100 metres earlier this week and was hoping for a second gold had to settle for bronze with a time of 19.70 seconds.

In the medal tally, China lead with 28 gold, 25 silver and 18 bronze, US 27 gold, 36 silver and 34 bronze, Australia 18 gold 14 silver 11 bronze.
