The Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys team fell short 1-nil to New Zealand in the semi-final of the OFC U19 Championship this afternoon.

It was a semi-final that took most of the first period to spring into life, as Fiji gave an excellent account of themselves in the opening half with most of the possession.

In a post-match conference, Coach Marika Rodu says he is proud of the boys, although they were not successful.

Ryan Watson scored for New Zealand.

Fiji will face the Solomon Islands in the third-place final at 10 am on Thursday.
