FCCC investigating two service stations for fuel hoarding

FCCC investigating two service stations for fuel hoarding
Two service stations are currently under investigation for hoarding under section 87G of the FCCC Act 2010.
Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) officers were deployed on the night of 31st March to conduct fuel and LPG inspections at service stations across all major divisions.
FCCC says its teams surveyed and inspected 33 service stations.
The inspections focused on verifying stock levels and ensuring service stations were not charging above the regulated prices.
FCCC reminds all traders that fuel hoarding and overcharging on regulated prices may face strict enforcement.
The commission will continue monitoring the market through surveys and inspections to protect consumers and maintain confidence in the market.
If you come across traders who are possibly hoarding or overcharging, please contact FCCC by calling 8921991, emailing helpdesk@fccc.gov.fj, or visiting our channels at https://linktr.ee/fijianccc.
