OFC U19 Championship: Fiji defeats Tahiti 3-1

The Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys under 19 side haS defeated Tahiti 3-1 in their first match of the OFC U19 Championship in Samoa this afternoon.

Penisoni Tirau was the star of the match as he scored twice for Fiji.

Akash Prasad scored Fiji’s goal while Kamalani Bennett had equalised for Tahiti.

Fiji will now face Solomon Islands at 11am on Monday.

The top two team of the tournament qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile next year.
