FRIEND Fiji says food requests have hit the roof

“Nothing can treat the drop in oxygen in the blood at home and you need to get to a hospital as soon as possible if you are having difficulty in breathing and are suffering from severe COVID-19.”

These are the words of the CEO of FRIEND Fiji, Sashi Kiran who says our medical facilities have oxygen.

Kiran says these medical facilities may not be the most comfortable facilities but they have oxygen.

She says people in the Western Division can also call the toll-free line 165 for ambulance services.

Kiran says food requests have hit the roof and they are seeing more need for baby milk and medication as more and more people are going into isolation in the Western Division.

She says even food resources are strained and those that are going into isolation are also asking for medication like panadol, ORS and cough mixtures.
