Northern students and business owners gain reliable internet as Telecom Fiji expands fibre connectivity

Students in the interior of Vanua Levu will no longer have to spend hours looking for connectivity in the mountains as Telecom Fiji has completed the Northern Fibre Connectivity Project from Savusavu to Labasa.

While officiating at the launch this morning, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka emphasised the importance of connecting various sectors like schools, businesses, hospitals and government services to the people.

Rabuka also emphasises the importance of reliable communication and connectivity for economic growth, education and disaster resilience.

He also asked whether the country is effectively using the technology and connectivity provided by Telecom Fiji and the Government for development.

He emphasises the importance of adapting and using new technologies for the country's development and improvement.
