No layoffs at Carpenters Fiji Limited

Carpenters Fiji Limited has today confirmed that there will be no staff layoffs at the MH Supermarkets, MH Homemaker and Carpenters Hardware outlets.

Carpenters Fiji Limited Director and General Manager, Kunaseelan Sabaratnam confirms that they have no plans to let other workers go.

He says they had earlier let go of workers when some stores were closed.

However Sabaratnam says he cannot confirm the number of people laid off at the time.

He stresses that no workers are being laid off now due to COVID-19.
