The Brumbies are confident they can defy injuries to superstar duo Rob Valetini and Noah Lolesio as they prepare for the Crusaders tonight in the Super Rugby Pacific.

Valetini's injury is the most serious of the duo, with coach Dan McKellar expecting him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks after picking up a hamstring.

Meanwhile, the Brumbies have opted to take a careful approach with Lolesio after he pulled up 'dusty' following a physical victory over the Chiefs last week.

The Brumbies have recalled Rod Iona to the starting side, with the Samoan International set to once again lead their attack after stepping in following an ankle injury to Lolesio.

Lock, Tom Hooper shifts to flanker after impressing on his starting debut against the Rebels.

The Brumbies will meet the Crusaders at 9.45 tonight.

In other matches, the Highlanders play the Force at 7.05 tonight, the Fijian Drua will meet Moana Pasifika at 4.35pm tomorrow, the Blues meet the Reds at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Waratahs face the Hurricanes at 9.45pm tomorrow and the Rebels will take on the Chiefs at 4pm Sunday.
