New LTA Board

New members have been appointed to the board of LTA.

The new members are James Sowane who is also the Board Chairperson, Ashok Patel,Narisha Karan, Parvez Akbar, Kamal Prasad, Richard Breen and Kamal Goundar.

Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport Faiyaz Koya highlighted the need for the new board of directors and the ministry to work together as a team to serve the best interest of Fijians.

The new Board Chairperson James Sowane, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from the transport sector thanked the Minister and the Permanent Secretary for an opportune time to give back to the nation.

He says that communication with stakeholders is important, particularly for an agency like LTA, which must have a close working relationship with its stakeholders.

The ministry acknowledged the work of the outgoing chairperson and members of the board, including the outgoing CEO, Samuel Simpson and wished him well in his future endeavors.
