New World Group of Companies confirms that no employee will lose their job despite fire

Following a fire that has damaged the New World Supermarket on Shalimar Street in Raiwasa today, the New World Group of Companies have placed the 22 staff from Shalimar Street to other New World Supermarkets in Suva, Damodar City and Nakasi.

New World Group of Companies, Chief Operating Officer, Peter Royce says it is too early to determine the cost of damage adding that he will reveal this once Police and NFA have completed their investigations.

NFA says after initial assessments the fire is suspected to have started in the kitchen.

NFA and Police will soon conduct their investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
