The new Fiji Airways A350 Airbus will depart Sydney for Fiji on Saturday and is expected to touch down at Nadi International Airport before 1pm.

A spokesperson for Fiji Airways says Fijians in the Central and Western Viti Levu will be able to witness the aircraft flying low over their towns from midday on Saturday.

All Fijians are encouraged to tune in CFL radio stations Legend FM, Fm96, Viti Fm, Navtarang and Radio Sargam to participate in the celebrations to welcome their aircraft home.

As prizes on offer include return flights on the brand new A350 to either Sydney or Los Angeles.

People are advised that from Nausori the aircraft will fly low on a coastal route –Nausori, Suva Point, Parliament House, Suva Harbour, Navua, Pacific Harbour, Sigatoka, the Mamanucas.

Meanwhile, Fiji Airways and Airbus concluded the display of the airline’s brand new A350-900 XWB aircraft at the Dubai Air Show. The aircraft was on display for two days at the event.

The spokesperson says hundreds of Dubai Air Show guests accessed the aircraft over the two days. These included senior personnel from many other airlines, all of whom were impressed by the Business and Economy Class cabins.

They say the most common feedback on the aircraft was the huge space in both Business and Economy class cabins for guests.

The spokesperson says guests remarked that BULA SPACE Economy seat pitch of 34-inches is similar to the pitch in Business class for European airlines in short-haul flights.
