New FNU Vice Chancellor tasked with carrying out a staff audit

The new Fiji National University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Toby Wilkinson has been tasked with carrying out a staff audit by the Education Minister Rosy Akbar.

Akbar says they want the best teachers with the best qualifications.

She told the FNU Students Association today that she is proud of FNU and wants it to grow.

Akbar says she wants quality graduates who are going to make a mark in the nation’s future to come out of FNU.

Akbar also told the FNU Students Association that a lot of students choose the wrong subject field.

She says they need to look at the job market.

The FNU Students Association Council meeting is underway at the FNU Campus in Valelevu.
