Australian-born Fijian winger Mark Nawaqanitawase has been named to start for the NSW Waratahs against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in this weekend’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific Super Round on Saturday.

Nawaqanitawase who started last week in the Waratahs’ 31-25 loss to Brumbies will be looking to make an impact this week against his fellow country men.

The Waratahs has named a strong side with the inclusion of former Wallabies captain Michael Hooper starting at flanker as they look to redeem themselves from last week’s loss.

Also making a return to the Waratahs match day squad is former Wallabies hooker Tolu Latu who will be donning the Waratahs’ jersey for the first time since 2019.

Other notable names in the side’s match day squad includes Wallabies test players David Porecki, Jed Holloway, Lachlan Swinton, Langi Gleeson, Lalakai Foketi, Ben Donaldson and Te Tera Faulkner.

The Waratahs will take on the Fijian Drua at 8.35pm on Saturday.

Other Super Rugby Pacific super round matches this week will see the Crusaders taking on Highlanders at 7pm tomorrow, Rebels will play Hurricane at 9.10pm tomorrow, Moana Pasifika will face Chiefs at 6.05pm Saturday, Blues will take on Brumbies at 3pm on Sunday and Western Force will play the Reds at 5.30pm on Sunday.

All games this weekend will be held at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium in Melbourne.
