Some residents and businesses in Navua have raised serious concerns about water disruption and supply of dirty water.

Resident Avinesh Sharma says they are very frustrated as they have been facing this issue for the past two years and no action has been taken to address their concerns.

He says there is no water supply during peak hours, especially in the morning and afternoon.

Sharma says this affects students, working people, children, the elderly and the sick.

He says this is a paid service and whenever concerns are raised to the Water Authority staff in Navua, they are informed that the water level in the Navua reservoir is very low.

However, he says this is hard for them to believe because it rains all the time in Navua.

He says not everyone has water tanks at home or can afford to buy bottled water.

Sharma also says whenever they request for water carting, it is not provided.

Sharma further says whenever they contact WAF on cases of water leakages and burst pipes, it is not attended to as well.

WAF is yet to respond to our questions.
