The National Vice President of Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji Jagdish Bali is urging everyone to make proper decisions and spend money wisely during this Diwali.

He says due to the war in Ukraine and Israel, the cost of goods and services are increasing, therefore we need to adjust to it and spend mostly on things that are needed.

Bali says irrespective of any religion or culture everyone gathers to celebrate the festival of lights in every country which shows unity and friendship among people.

He says Diwali is when all ethnic groups of people get together to share sweets, play firecrackers, share their different stories, experiences, sadness and happiness and build better relationships and bond with each other.

The National Vice President says as we all get together to celebrate the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, it is important that we remove all grudges towards people and pray with a true and clear mindset and heart, and support each other.

He says we must forgive each other, forget the past and move on with better hopes for the future.

Bali also encourages all youths to respect their elders, parents and people around them and to make better decisions in life.

Bali wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Diwali.

Diwali will be celebrated on the 13th of this month.
