The Nasinu Secondary School under 18 rugby side knows they will be carrying the hopes of the Southern Zone when they take on Cuvu College in the first semi final of the Vodafone Super Deans under 18 competition this weekend.

The school’s Vice Principal Navitalai Waiwalu says being the lone school from the Southern Zone, the players know it will not be an easy task carrying that weight upon their shoulders.

Waiwalu says they also know the challenge that Cuvu will be bringing into this match especially when they are like the breeding ground for the Nadroga Rugby Union team.

He says they are also overwhelmed with the support they are receiving, especially with the kind gesture from their Southern Zone brothers Marist Brothers’ High School after they donated a few stuff to help them in their preparation for this weekend.

He adds they want to create another piece of history this weekend and they are looking forward to it.

Nasinu will take on Cuvu in the first semi final of the under 18 grade at 3:25pm, and defending champion QVS will meet Ratu Navula at 5:00pm.

In the U14 semi finals, Marist will face RKS at 8:00am, and MGM will play Lelean Memorial School at 9:30am.

In the under 15, Gospel High School will meet Marist at 9.05am in the first semi final, and Suva Grammar School will face QVS at 9.30am in the second semi final.

In the U16 semi finals, QVS will meet Suva Grammar at 10:15am, and Lelean will play RKS at 10:40am.

In the U17 semi finals, RKS will play Ratu Navula College at 11:45am, and Marist will take on QVS at 10:30am.

In the U19 semi finals, QVS will play Naitasiri Secondary at 12:00pm, and Lami High School will take on Ratu Navula at 11:50am.

All games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium, Buckhurst Ground 1, and Bidesi Ground.
