Fiji Court of Appeal Judge Justice, Chandana Prematilaka has given time to former Fiji 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila’s lawyer, Mosese Naivalu to resubmit six copies of affidavit which was not done in the previous submission.

Justice Prematilaka says that those copies should include translation of Facebook itaukei messages in English and are to be served to the trial lawyers on the 4th of December this year.

He says the trial lawyers must reply to the submissions before December 28th.

In September last year, Nasilasila was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment for raping a 24-year-old woman in Sigatoka on the 22nd of December in 2018.

He had filed an appeal against his conviction which was called in court in July this year.

The matter will be called on the 29th of December for mention.
