Nasilasila feels next season will be promising after extending his contract with the Drua

The 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season looks promising and I cannot wait to see what will unfold.

Those were the words of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua lock and 2025 Player of the Year Isoa Nasilasila after extending his contract with the franchise for another year.

Nasilasila says he is very excited to extend his contract with the Drua for another year, as he started his journey with them and with the team and management that are there heading into 2026.

The 25-year-old has made 50 appearances for the Drua – one of only two players in history to do so, and has become one of Super Rugby Pacific’s most consistent performers since 2022, playing in all but 8 matches of the Fijian Drua.

Nasilasila has also earned 21 caps for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians since his debut four years ago and played a leading role for Fiji in the 2023 Rugby World Cup campaign.

Fijian Drua General Manager Rugby Baden Stephenson says the Club is thrilled to re-sign Nasilasila for next year as he sets high standards, consistent behaviours, works hard and cares deeply about the club.

Stephenson says Nasilasila’s durability and professionalism are trademarks that he takes very seriously.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific grand final between the Crusaders and the Chiefs will kick off at 7.05pm tomorrow in Christchurch.
