The Fiji Bitter Namalata 7s tournament aims to raise funds for the Namalata rugby club kit and to build an ablution block for Namalata District School.

Organising Committee Malakai Yamaivava says they believe that such a tournament can be effective in raising funds for such projects.

Yamaivava says a total of 24 men's teams and 2 women's teams will participate in the tournament and the winner will walk away with $5,000 as the prize-money.

He further says some well-known teams have confirmed their spot such as Police Blue, Police White, Wardens Gold and Uluinakau Babas.

He says they are thankful that Communications Fiji Limited has shown their support as the media partner for the tournament for the second time.

The entry fee is $5 for adults and $2 for children below the age of 12 and the tournament will be held at Namalata Central School ground in Kadavu.

The Fiji Bitter Namalata 7s will begin tomorrow.
