Naitasiri has retained the Inkk Farebrother Trophy after they held off a spirited Malolo side 39-16 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Malolo drew first blood with fly-half Tevita Ledua converting a penalty to put them in a 3-0 lead.

Naitasiri replied a few minutes later with an unconverted try to prop Jone Naqiri.

Naitasiri showed their experience as they crossed over the try line again through Viliame Kanatabua to extend their lead to 10-3.

Flanker Veniasi Vosawale scored again for Naitasiri to extend their lead further to 17-3.

Ledua was an inspiration for the Malolo side as he converted another penalty to close the gap to 17-6.

Naqiri could have scored his second try of the match, but the pass went forward.

Naitasiri led Malolo 17-6.

In the second half, Naitasiri scored another three tries and one penalty try.

Malolo scored in the 65th minute of the match through Paulisi Kaloumaira but Naitasiri fullback Senijieli Qiokata sealed their win by scoring another try in the final minute of the match.

In other matches, Nadroga defeated Macuata 39-18, Suva beat Ba 35-13, Nadi edged Lautoka 17-15, and Tailevu beat Vatukoula 12-9.
