Naholo ruled out for remainder of the season after rupturing ACL

Fiji-born Hurricanes’ winger Kiniviliame Naholo has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season after rupturing his ACL during their round 12 clash against the Chiefs last two weeks.

The injury has seen Naholo needing surgery.

This is a huge blow for the Hurricanes, who are fighting to stay in the top 6 of the Super Rugby Pacific points table.

In a post on their social media page, the Hurricanes say they are gutted by the news of Naholo’s exclusion from the team for the rest of the season, as they know he is such an asset to the team.

However, they are wishing him well in his surgery and on his road to recovery.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes’ bye last week came with a Covid outbreak, but they are confident it will not hinder their hunt for a spot in the Super Rugby Pacific finals.

The team was hit hard by the virus following their win over the Chiefs last two weeks, with multiple players and coaches spending the bye week stuck at home.

The Hurricanes currently sit in 6th place after round 13 with 26 points.

The Hurricanes will take on the Highlanders at 7.05pm this Friday in Wellington.

In other matches this week, the Waratahs will host the Crusaders at 9.35pm Friday, the Fijian Drua will take on the Force at 3.35pm this Saturday, Moana Pasifika will take on the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Brumbies will play the Reds at 9.35pm.
