Former Flying Fijian’s burly winger Nemani Nadolo scored a late try in the second half to help his NSW Waratahs side beat Queensland Reds 33-32 in their Shop N Save Super Rugby pre-season hit-out.
The game was played in Narrabri, NSW and carried a $25,000 prize money for the winner.
Nadolo started on the wing for Waratahs.
The match was Nadolo’s first appearance back in the Tah’s colours after he was signed by the club back in 2009 but did not get a chance to make an appearance for the club in the Super Rugby competition before joining Burgoin a year later.
Meanwhile, the Reds had Suliasi Vunivalu and Filipo Daugunu on the wings with Serupepeli Uru at locks and Peni Ravai coming off the bench at prop.
The 2023 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition will kick-off on the 25th of this month.
