23-year-old Alipate Nacobo who was one of the 54 people that showcased their talent at the Fiji Fashion Week model auditions at GPH says modelling has helped build his self-confidence.

The final year USP student says he always wanted to take part in the show, and if chosen, it will be a milestone achievement.

He says last year he took part in private fashion shows for The Haus of Koila.

The 23-year-old says the money he earns from modelling has helped him to buy textbooks, travelling fare and money for field trips.

Fiji Fashion Week is looking at selecting 60 models for their 15th Anniversary Show from 21st to 28th May at the Vodafone Arena.
