Police have confirmed that the suspect in the horrific Naboro accident earlier this month which claimed the life of 2 people is still in police custody.
The suspect who is a 24-year old man from Navo, Nadi was arrested yesterday.
A 23-year-old man and an 8-year-old boy passed away in the accident which occurred along the Queens Highway near the Vunisalato Settlement in Naboro while 7 other people had sustained serious injuries.
The 8-year-old boy was travelling with his parents in a small truck while the 23-year-old man was a passenger in the vehicle that allegedly caused the accident.
It is alleged that the man was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer onto the opposite lane resulting in the head-on collision.
No charges have been laid yet.
