The NZ Men’s 7s side will defend their Hong Kong 7s title in the final against an unpredictable France team tonight after defeating neighbours Australia 26-7 in their semi final clash this evening.

NZ took advantage of all the opportunities from the Australians’ mistakes and converted them into points.

The game went into halftime with NZ holding a slight 12-7 lead.

The Men in Black came back strongly in the second spell and shut out the Australians and scored two more converted tries to seal the game.

In the first semi final, France beat Ireland 26-10.

NZ will play France at 10.53 tonight in the Men’s Cup Final.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s competition, the USA defeated France 19-5 in the first semi final and NZ beat Australia 28-14 in the second semi final.
