New South Wales coach Brad Fittler will seek answers from the NRL's referees boss after claiming several infringements pivotal to the result in State of Origin I were missed to Queensland's benefit.

Fittler was not happy that Queensland was able to get its way at the ruck without consequence and suggested after the Blues' 16-10 loss that he'd present a list of issues to Jared Maxwell.

The Blues mentor made it clear that he was irritated with referee Ashley Klein, who last night officiated his first Origin match since game three of the 2019 series.

Meanwhile, game two of State of Origin will be played on the 26th of this month.
