FijiFirst claims entire dedicated fake pages support parties like NFP

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says the FijiFirst Government is now making desperate attempts after their tactics on the Fijian Government Facebook page have been exposed while the FNU Students Association says they want Prasad to show proof that they are FijiFirst stooges.

Professor Prasad’s comments come after the FijiFirst party Facebook page shared a statement by the FNU Students Association which is asking the NFP to talk to its supporters that may be running fake pages.

The FijiFirst shared the FNUSA's statement and said this makes a very fair point and also claimed that a vast majority of fake troll Facebook accounts including entire dedicated fake pages support NFP.

FijiFirst also said why are NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad and NFP President Pio Tikoduadua silent on this.

Prasad says they want the FijiFirst to provide evidence that the NFP runs fake pages.

In its latest statement, FNUSA has labelled Prasad's name-calling and threats against the youth body as dictatorial behaviour.

They say they have never alleged that NFP or any political party is running fake accounts but that fake accounts that support certain parties have been making derogatory attacks on the FNUSA President.

FNUSA says they are a completely apolitical organisation with members of all political views and all religious backgrounds, and this cyberbullying started with a statement regarding NCDs.

They also want Prasad to show evidence of the allegation he has made that the FijiFirst party is using FNUSA as part of some tactical play.

FNUSA says to be completely clear, the youth know that the opposition’s job is not to criticize everything and attack anyone with a different opinion, but the opposition and indeed every politician's job is to tell them their plan to run the country and convince them that this plan is worthy of a vote.

They have urged Prasad to do his job instead of threatening youth voices to silence them as they have just as much say as anyone else on national matters.

FNUSA says they are wondering why certain politicians are quietly sitting back while a youth gets cyberbullied viciously.

They say a true leader defends the rights of all, regardless of whether they agree with their beliefs or not.

Professor Prasad says FNUSA President Ketan Lal is now caught in his own web of lies.

He says they have written to the Association and asked about the pro-NFP posts, how do they know this is a pro-NFP post and why NFP’s name has been dragged in because they do not run fake accounts.

Professor Prasad says once again he advises Lal to stop being stooges to the FijiFirst Government and stick to issues affecting the students.

Prasad adds the FNUSA is now trying to portray itself as politically neutral.
