National Federation Party President, Pio Tikoduadua is still in custody and is expected to be questioned by Police again this morning.

Tikoduadua was taken in for questioning by Police at 12.35am yesterday after posting a video on Facebook where he talked about the incident where a man was allegedly thrown from the Naqia Village bridge in Wainibuka Tailevu by police officers on Saturday.

Meanwhile NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad is calling on the Fiji Police Force to release Pio Tikoduadua.

Professor Prasad says in that video Tikoduadua sets out allegations of police brutality and has called on police to rein in their bad behavior but the only response from police is to arrest him.

Prasad says everyone knows where to find him and police did not have to swoop on his home after midnight to arrest him.

The NFP leader says this is a time when the people of Fiji should be able to look confidently to the Police for support and protection but instead the Police are having to investigate allegations of their own brutality.

He says we are now in the biggest health and economic crisis Fiji has faced since independence and the people will not forget how their leaders performed during this crisis.

Prasad says it is why the next time the voters get the chance, this government will be thrown out.

Police have said they will make a statement after the investigation.
