A different atmosphere was captured at the Nasova Police Ground during their recruitment drive when a 51-year-old mother was seen running alongside her 23-year-old daughter to show her support during the fitness test.

While speaking to fijivillage News, the mother of 7, Mereini Adituivuna says through the challenges their family have faced after losing the head of their family a year ago, she has promised herself to support her children so they can have a better life in their future.

Adituivuna says her daughter has also faced some challenges in the past after being abused by her defacto partner.

With these challenges, she advised her daughter Matila Waqanidrola to leave her defacto partner and be strong for her children and try securing a job for them.

She says being a mum is one of the toughest jobs in the world because it demands immense dedication, patience and love.

She adds that as mothers, women play a unique role in supporting their children to survive the tough world of academia as well.

The support provided by Adituivuna who hails from Naceva, Kadavu, has motivated her daughter to pass all her recruitment tests and focus on the recruitment.
