An Indonesian delegation is moved with how multi racial communities in Fiji live together and how our land tenure system works.
They include two former activists, Franzalbert Joku and Nicholas Simeone Messet with the Vice-Chancellor of the State University of Papua Doctor Suriel Mofu.
One of the former activist Joku said their visit to Fiji gave them the opportunity to see how a multi racial community can be forged together to form a sovereign nation.
He said their situation is slightly different as they are still learning to coming into terms and cope with multi-ethnic and multi cultural community.
He added that the land laws and arrangement governing land in Fiji to enable itaukei’s to participate in the economic development and commercial activities in Fiji is one of the learning lessons for them.
They are hopeful of strengthening the growing relations between Indonesia and Fiji.
They arrived in the country earlier this week upon the invitation by Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.
