More than 500 students from both primary and secondary have been assisted through a $25,000 donation by the Bank of South Pacific Financial Group Limited to the Foundation for the Education of Needy Children Fiji.

The Country Head for BSP, Haroon Ali, says they are pleased to partner with a trusted charity dedicated to investing in the education of children and breaking the cycle of poverty.

Ali says BSP aims to empower children to have better employment opportunities that will have multiplier effects on their families.

He adds this donation is a transformational gift with immediate and long-term benefits for the children, their families and the nation in terms of each FENC beneficiary improving their prospects for economic security in the future.

Ali also acknowledged the effort by FENC Fiji officials and volunteers.

The Founder and Chair of FENC Fiji’s Board of Trustees, John Samy, says funding from generous donors, such as BSP, enables them to carry on such assistance.
