For the first time ever, a fuel company, Mobil Oil Fiji has come on board and provided $40,000 sponsorship to the Fiji Football Association.

Association’s President, Rajesh Patel says it is a historic moment for Fiji Football.

He has thanked Mobil Oil for their support in the development of football in Fiji.

Mobil’s Lead Country Manager, Adi Tamara says the sponsorship will help to foster the continued development of soccer in Fiji at all levels.

Tamara says Mobil is proud to be part of the Fiji FA family and they extend their commitment in growing community participation in the sport.

Tamara says the sponsorship is well-timed to coincide with Fiji’s 50 years of independence and they can proudly say that they are the only international oil company in Fiji who have been around well before its independence.
