The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation will be working closely with the NGO’s and development partners in building a better Fiji.

This was highlighted by the newly elected Assistant Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Sashi Kiran who says there are a lot of organizations that have been working with issues of poverty and disabilities and the Ministry will work and learn with them.

Kiran says many organizations are also involved in issues of domestic violence and the Ministry will partner with these existing organizations to support and enhance all their efforts because, issue of poverty is a huge responsibility and task to carry out.

She says with many partners on the ground, they will be able to engage more and be more effective in serving the people.
