Methamphetamine seized in a bust was tampered with at the Crime Officer’s Office at Totogo Police Station in Suva on Friday night.

fijivillage News received this information from inside sources yesterday, who are also seriously concerned with the level of involvement of some police officers in the drug trade.

Acting Commissioner, Juki Fong Chew says they can confirm the report that was lodged by the Divisional Crime Officer Central.

He reiterates his earlier stand that they will take all reports regarding the tampering of evidence seriously, and whoever is involved will face the consequences of their actions as per the law.

Chew says the investigation is ongoing and any officer found to be colluding or aiding those in the illicit trade will be removed as they do not belong in the organization.
