McKenzie scores 12 points off his boots to help the Chiefs beat the Reds 27-15

All Blacks utility back Damien McKenzie put on another brilliant performance for the Chiefs last night as he scored 12 points off his boots to help his side overcome a spirited Reds side 27-15 in Hamilton.

McKenzie kicked two penalty kicks at goal and 3 conversions that was enough to push the Chiefs to victory.

Both teams scored three tries each in the match but the difference was made off the kicking tee.

The Chiefs scored tries through Luke Jacobson, Samisoni Taukei’aho and Xavier Roe while the Reds scored through Matt Faesler, Joe Brial and Tom Lynagh.

Both teams were tied at 10-all at the break.

The win has seen the Chiefs extend their lead at the top of the table to 26 points.

In other matches that will be played today, Moana Pasifika will take on the Waratahs at 1.05pm, the Fijian Drua will take on the Crusaders at 3.35pm, the Blues will play the Hurricanes at 6.05pm and the Force will host the Highlanders at 8.35pm.
