Match officials decided not to officiate the Under 19 Skipper Cup match between Naitasiri and Yasawa today following concerns about the incident last week where Naitasiri Under 19 player Keresi Maya punched the referee.

Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O’Connor says officials had raised their concerns with FRU about the incident and did not want to officiate in the match.

O’Connor says the FRU advised Naitarisi Rugby about the concerns raised by the referees yesterday and Yasawa was awarded a win in the match.

He says they are awaiting the outcome of the ruling from the judiciary which will decide on the punishment for player involved.

O’Connor says this information has been communicated to both teams.

In other results of the Under 19 matches, Suva beat Namosi 16-14, Tailevu defeated Nadi 20-15 while Nadroga defeated Lautoka 20-14.
