Swire Shipping Fijian Drua halfback Peni Matawalu was voted the fijivillage Drua Fan Player Of The Match in round 11 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific clash against the Brumbies last week.

The Ra man, who is the younger brother of former Fiji 7s and 15s rep Nikola Matawalu, started at halfback last week and played a total of 49 minutes.

The 27-year-old made 45 passes in the game, had 9 carries, 1 clean linebreak, 1 defender beaten and won 1 turnover.

Matawalu collected 45 percent of the vote while his teammates, Isoa Nasilasila and Haereiti Hetet, who was also nominated for the fijivillage Drua Fan Player of the Match, received 31.1 percent and 22.9 percent of the votes respectively.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua have slipped to 8th place in the overall standing with 17 points after their 28-20 loss to the Brumbies over the weekend.

The Hurricanes maintain their lead at the top with 42 points, followed by the Blues with 41 points and the Brumbies are in third place with 35 points.

The Drua will take on the Force at 11.55pm this Saturday in Perth in round 12 of the competition.

In other matches this week, Moana Pasifika will play the Chiefs at 7.05pm Friday, the Reds will take on the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, the Blues will play the Hurricanes at 4.35pm Saturday, the Highlanders will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday and the Waratahs will host the Brumbies at 9.35pm Saturday.
