Flying Fijians back rower Viliame Mata scored a try in the 28th minute of the first half for Edinburgh to beat Castres 31-24 this morning.

Mata started at number 8 for Edinburgh and made some impressive runs racking up 60 meters with 15 carries beating 3 defenders.

Leone Nakarawa, Josaia Raisuqe and Vilimoni Botitu all started for Castres with Adrea Cocagi coming off the bench but could not help their side as they went down to a much improved Edinburgh side.

Raisuqe also scored a try for Castres but it was not enough.

Meanwhile, Onisi Ratave continued his impressive form for Benetton in the Challenge Cup over the weekend, scoring a try for his side to help beat Eneriko Buliruarua’s Bayonne side 26-7.
