Mata brings confidence and leadership to the team - Byrne

Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne

The inclusion of Bristol Bears No 8 Viliame Mata in the FIJI Water Flying Fijians team for their match against Tonga tomorrow brings a lot of confidence and leadership to the team.

While appreciating the work rate shown by Mata, Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne says it is great to see Mata part of the Pacific Nations Cup, and they are looking forward to a big game from him on the weekend.

When asked about the progress of fly-half Caleb Muntz, Byrne says he is really impressed with what he brings and how he leads their squad around the field.

Mata will start at No.8 while Muntz will partner with Philip Baselala in the halves.

Fiji will face Tonga at 3pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.
