The 2025 Marist Bazaar aims to reconnect Old Boys and support families by creating business opportunities, addressing social challenges, and strengthening the spirit of brotherhood across generations.
Marist Old Boys President, Neumi Vakadewabuka, says that with the theme Family Spirit, this year’s event will reconnect generations of Marist Old Boys, provide business networking opportunities, and raise funds to improve the Marist Business Centre, a hub that will help Old Boys start businesses, find resources, and overcome challenges like unemployment and poverty.
He says Marist schools have been part of Fiji for 137 years, with Marist Brothers High School serving the nation for 88 years.
He also says over the decades, former scholars have contributed significantly to Fiji’s economy, leadership, and service across all sectors.
He adds this year’s bazaar continues that legacy by bringing together Old Boys from the four Marist houses; Lambert, Augustine, Claudius, and Alphonsus, as well as chapters overseas in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Children will enjoy bouncing castles, face painting, sack races, and games, while Old Boys can take part in volleyball and touch rugby.
Health screenings and check-ups will also be available.
Adding to the festive spirit, Marist Old Boy bands and the Suva Musicians Association will provide live music throughout the day.
The celebrations will begin on Friday, 3rd October with a joint mass at Brother Lambert Hall to mark 88 years of Marist Brothers High School.
The bazaar follows on Saturday, 4th October from 10am, offering a full day of family-friendly activities.
