Under 21 rugby side, Cautata Eagles from Tailevu has denied hosts Marist a good start to the campaign at the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s, defeating them 14-0 this morning.

The rain did not dampen the spirits of the teams taking part today as the second game between Sydney Bula and Nakavu Rugby kept spectators standing, as it finished in a 5-all draw.

In other results, DHL Raiwaqa beat Saint Michael Navesibasaga 10-0 while Village Boys beat Saint John Lomary 12-7 in another match.

In the women’s category, Marist started the day with a win, beating Eco Retreat Namosi Highlanders 10-0.

The competition continues.
