Chartered accountant, Manoa Kamikamica has been announced as the Deputy Leader of the People’s Alliance.

Party Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka made the announcement at a dinner in Nadi last night.

He says Kamikamica’s election as his deputy recognizes his central role in being one of the Party's key architects.

Rabuka says Kamikamica’s calm and steadfast character has helped bring stability during the uncertainty surrounding this Party's birth.

He adds Kamikamica represents a group of highly qualified and experienced Fijians ready to step up to rebuild and future proof our nation, especially against the backdrop of mounting national debt.

Rabuka says Kamikamica will now help him and their Party headquarters finalize their list of candidates.

Kamikamica will also oversee the release of the Party manifesto in the lead-up to the general elections.

Originally from Dravo village in Tailevu, Kamikamica resigned last month as Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Lyndhurst Group of Companies to work as a full-time volunteer for the Party.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Kamikamica says the appointment reaffirms this new journey of serving the people and the country.

He says there is a lot of work to be done and he is deeply committed and ready to work hard to bring about the change Fiji desperately needs.
