Manchester City moved a point behind Premier League leaders Liverpool with a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.

City started slowly but took the lead midway through the first half when Phil Foden steered home after Erling Haaland's shot was saved by Neto.

Bournemouth, now without a win in their last seven league matches, stay eight points above the relegation zone but drop a place to 14th.

In the other matches this morning Aston Villa beat Nottingham Forest 4-2, Crystal Palace thrashed Burnley 3-0, Fulham beat Manchester United 2-1 while Everton and Brighton drew 1-all and Arsenal beat Newcastle United 4-1.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is now leading the table with 60 points followed by Manchester City with 59 points, Arsenal in third place with 58 points, Aston Villa in fourth place with 52 points and Tottenham in fifth place with 47 points. Source: BBC Sports
