Man dies in horrific Sigatoka road accident

A man died in a road accident yesterday afternoon after the van he was driving collided with a bus along the Queens Highway in Olosara, Sigatoka.

Police say the van collided with a military bus conveying medical officers to Nadi.

According to Police, the driver of the van allegedly lost control causing the vehicle to veer onto the opposite lane resulting in the accident.

The van driver died at the scene while the officers were rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital for treatment.

Investigations continue.
