Mamanuca villagers prepared for the potential cyclone

Villagers in the Mamanuca Group are prepared for the weather system that is affecting them.

Solevu Villager, Mere Nasilasila says they started to experience heavy rain and strong winds early this morning.

Nasilasila says a group of men in the village are putting up shutters on homes and taking boats to higher grounds. She adds their evacuation centre is ready and they have stocked up on their food supply.

The Manager of Funky Fish Beach & Surf Resort on Malolo Island, Tumeli Lawedrau says they have secured their resort and their staff are taking precautionary measures.

One of the Directors of Musket Cove Island Resort, Will Moffat says they have prepared from yesterday, and they have also secured their boats.
