Making a better life for themselves and their families has been on the minds of young players from the Veiyasana Provider Blue 7s team when they will take part in their first-ever Fiji Bitter Marist 7s this month.

Veiyasana Provider Blue 7s team Captain, Petero Tuwai says most of the players are from low-income families in the Lami area and rugby has been a source of income for them and their families.

Tuwai says participating in the Marist 7s will enable them to showcase their God-given talents in a recognised stage.

Veiyasana Provider’s player, Esala Ratuvou says his aim while participating in this tournament is to get a contract from overseas clubs so he could help out in the financial circumstances of his family.

He adds playing in this tournament is a dream come true and hopes that Veiyasana Provider’s supporters will turn up in numbers to support their team.

The 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held from the 19th to the 21st of this month at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
