Sieni Sinapati, a mother of a 5-months old girl who received a gift of life by the Sai Sanjeevni Children's Heart hospital has urged all parents to look after their babies and children well and watch out for any danger signs such as coughing, fast breathing, pneumonia and non-stop crying to get them checked and screened for any heart diseases.

While speaking on fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan Sinapati says after 3 weeks of her daughters birth, she started crying for long hours, coughing, breathing fast and had a fever.

She says they took her to the hospital where they found out that she had a heart disease after conducting some tests.

She says she was then referred to the Sai Sanjeevni hospital.

The Mother says this was so emotional and a big shock for her and her husband as they didn't expect their child to have a congenital heart disease.

She says it was hard for them to take their child to overseas for treatment.

Sinapati says they are grateful to the Sai Sanjeevani hospital for their kind support and free surgery.

She says she is happy with the services as everything was covered by the hospital which they will never forget.

Sinapati also encourages families to get their children checked for any diseases because most of the times when a newborn baby cries, we end up thinking that it is normal however, there can be something very wrong as well.

She also encourages people to show support and help the foundation for the good work they do as well. Meanwhile Esita Tatalau, a grandmother of a child who also received a life-saving heart surgery by the hospital says, her granddaughter was sick and had breathing problems, they took her to the Valelevu health centre where they were told that she had two holes in her heart and needed a surgery.

She says they were so emotional and sad and could not believe it.

Tatalau says only god knows what they were going through.

She says they are happy for the services provided by the hospital and the work they do to save childrens lives.

The grandmother says its been two weeks since her granddaughter had her surgery and she is happy, cheerful and healthy now.

She says the first thing they did after their granddaughters successful surgery was pray to God for her gift of life.
