Swire Shipping Fijian Drua wing Ponipate Loganimasi has been called up by the First Nations Pasifika XV squad for Tuesday’s match against the British & Irish Lions in Melbourne.

Loganimasi adds to the squad’s impressive depth at outside back, emerging as a bright spot for the Fijian Drua in 2025.

The 27-year-old scored seven tries in 2025, including four in his opening three games of the Super Rugby Pacific season.

Also receiving call-ups are Wallabies players Taniela Tupou and Filipo Daugunu, after the pair missed selection for the first Wallabies side ahead of tomorrow’s Test in Brisbane.

Loganimasi has already linked up with the squad, with Tupou and Daugunu to join in the coming days.

Tupou will get his chance to face the Lions for a second time after featuring for the NSW Waratahs earlier in the tour.

Daugunu was one of the standout performers for the Wallabies in last year’s July series, before injury saw the likes of Harry Potter and Max Jorgensen cement themselves as starters for the national side.

He came off the bench during the win over Fiji earlier this month, with the Queensland Reds star able to cover either wing or centre.

Loganimasi will compete with the likes of Daugunu, Andy Muirhead and Triston Reilly for a spot on the wing.

The 27-year-old will link up with Fijian Drua teammates Mesake Doge and Mesake Vocevoce.

The squad is currently in camp in Melbourne.

The First Nations Pasifika XV will face the British & Irish Lions at 10pm Tuesday.
